An antique 19th century miniature portrait on ivory of Russian Empress Alexandra Feodorovna (1798-1860)
wife of Nicholas I, princess of Prussia by birth, after the portrait painted by Karl von Neff in 1825 and currently in the Alexander Palace in Tsarskoe Selo.

The Russian Empress is wearing a gold embroidered dress,
a small diamond Imperial crown, a pearl necklace, two large sapphire brooches,
a blue sash of the Order of St Andrew, a diamond star of the same order, and an ermine mantel.
Original brass frame and glass of the period.
Old collector’s paper label on back with handwriting in German and incorrect death date of Empress Alexandra (1880).
