in its original red leather case
An openwork 14K gold ring is decorated with the Russian Imperial crown, made in St. Petersburg between 1899 and 1903.
Attributed to Faberge.
The crown is set with two cabochon cut sapphires and ten rose cut diamonds.
Height 9/16 in. (14,5 mm).
US ring size 5 1/2 (16,5 mm)
Scratched inventory number of His Majesty’s Cabinet ‘1470’ on back of the crown.
Marked with 56 zolotniks standard (14K – 583 gold) with initials ‘ ЯЛ ‘ for St Petersburg assay master Yakov Liapunov (1899-1903). Unfortunately, the maker’s mark which was next to the 56 mark is lost due to ring resizing.
