This superb Victorian era gold necklace is designed as a finely carved almandine garnet snake head holding an almandine garnet heart-shaped locket.

The snake’s eyes and nose are embelished with rose cut diamonds.

The back of the heart-shaped pendant is set with a glazed miniature picture frame.

Marked on the clasp with French ‘ET’ stamp for imported jewelry.
