A Vintage Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring
Russian, circa 1910
The ring is designed as a stylized flower centered with a bezel set Old European cut diamond (approximately 0.63 ct, J color, VS2 clarity)
with six tapered calibre cut natural ruby “petals” in gold bezel settings, surrounded by numerous tiny diamonds of various cuts.
The ring is crafted in silver topped 14K rose gold.
Diameter – 13 mm (1/2 in.)
US ring size – 8 (18 mm)
The ring is struck with two later Soviet control marks (one for 583 gold /14K) from the 1930s which indicate that it was sold through a state-run shop.
