An Art Nouveau Antique Russian Diamond Pendant / Brooch

This elegant Imperial era jewel was hand crafted in St Petersburg between 1908 and 1917.

Sparkling old cut diamonds with a combined approximate weight of 3.12 ct are set in silver over 14K gold.

Height – 1 3/4 in. (4,4 cm)

Width – 1 3/8 in. (3,7 cm)

The pendant / brooch comes in a fitted brown leather case of the period.

The jewel has a detachable pin and could be worn as a pendant or a brooch. The frame is struck with St Petersburg assay stamp for 56 zolotniks old Russian gold standard (14K) and maker’s initials ‘ ДА ‘ for David Althausen (Gold And Silversmiths In Russia 1600-1926, No. 128).
