made in Moscow in the 1930s
A 14k gold pendant features a sparkling medium purple cushion-cut Siberian amethyst measuring 16 x 14.1 x 11.2 mm, approximately 14.73 ct.
The pendant is marked on frame with early Soviet assay mark for 583 gold standard and maker’s mark.
Siberian amethysts are no longer mined. They are rare and could be found only in antique jewelry from the Tsarist era or early Soviet era (1930s-1950s).
