made in Moscow between 1908 and 1917.
The 14K gold cluster earrings are centered with two Russian Alexandrites surrounded by chunky old mine cut diamonds (G-H color, SI clarity).
The Alexandrites change their color from bluish green (daylight) to pinkish purple (incandescent light). The color change is prominent to strong (80-90%).
Total Alexandrite weight is 0.88 carat.
Estimated total diamond weight is 1.20 carats.
Diameter of the clusters is 10 mm (3/8 in.)
Weight: 1.28 and 1.25 grams.
Marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard, Moscow assay mark, and maker’s initials ‘НФ’.
Russian Alexandrite earrings are extremely rare since two matching stones are almost impossible to find.
This is the only pair of Alexandrite earrings we have ever had.
