made in St Petersburg between 1899 and 1903
56 zolotnik gold (14K – 583), one natural pearl (10 mm), two old mine cut diamonds, one white sapphire, and one spinel
width 1 1/4 in. (3,2 cm)
Marked on the back with 56 zolotniks Imperial gold standard (kokoshnik turned left) with Cyrillic initials ‘ЯЛ’ of St Petersburg head assay master Yakov Liapunov (1899-1903).
The pin is struck with workmaster’s initials ‘V.L’ and assay stamp, the pin guard with workmaster’s initials only.
