This antique 14K gold chain necklace with a poodle charm was made in St. Petersburg in the late 1890s. The gold chain is embellished with 12 marquise cut blue sapphires. The pendant is set with an old mine cut diamond (approximately 0.12 ct), a pear cut and an oval cut sapphires.

Estimated total sapphire weight is 2 carats.

Marked with 56 zolotnik Imperial gold standard, maker’s initials and later Soviet control mark from the 1930s for 583 gold standard.
