An Antique Intaglio Ring

Russian, circa 1820’s

A 14K gold ring from the late Georgian era is bezel set with an octagon yellow citrine intaglio

engraved with symbols of Love (flaming heart), Faith (cross), Hope (anchor) and Tree of Life (palm tree).

Height – 13 mm (1/2 in.)

US ring size – 7 1/4 (17 mm)

The ring is marked with Moscow assay stamp (rubbed), maker’s initials (apparently – EJ) and 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K).
