1920s, the clasp is much earlier – circa mid to late 19th century
The double strand cultured pearl necklace is embellished with a pink tourmaline and diamond clasp. The 8 old cushion cut diamonds and 14 rose cut diamonds of the clasp are set in silver over gold. The tourmaline is prong-set in a gold bezel.
Total length of the necklace is 39 cm (about 15 1/2 in.)
The oval tourmaline measures 9.85 x 8.14 x 4.5 mm and is approximately 2.42 ct.
Estimated total diamond weight 2.30 ct.
Average pearl diameter 7 mm.
