An Impressive Art Deco Amethyst and Demantoid Gold Brooch

Moscow, circa 1930

A 14K gold milgrain openwork brooch in Art Deco style features a large bright purple sparkling Russian amethyst:

20 – 19.5 x 15.6 mm, approximately 29 carats.

The well matched sparkling Ural demantoids are of a uniform apple green color.

Width 51 mm (2 in.)

The brooch comes in its original red velvet case with a stamp of the State Jewelry Trade Company of the USSR.
The brooch is stamped with a maker’s mark and 583 gold standard (14K).
