A French Art Deco Sapphire Engagement Ring

The 950 platinum and 750 (18K) white gold ring features an oval cabochon cut midnight blue sapphire 12.4 x 8.8 x 6.7 mm,

approximately 7.90 ct, set in an openwork bezel embellished with rose-cut diamonds.

The ring is marked with maker’s mark, numeral ‘5’, French eagle and dog shaped assay marks for 18K gold and 950 platinum.
