The only Russian demantoid with a chatoyancy (cat’s eye effect) that we have ever seen.

The parallel “horsetail” inclusions in the demantoid produce this unique effect.

The demantoid cabochon measures 5.6 – 5.5 x 2.78 mm and is approximately 0.90 ct. It is surrounded by eight sparkling old mine cut diamonds.

Estimated total diamond weight is 0.70 ct.

Diameter of the cluster is 10 mm (7/16 in.)

Ring size 5.75 (16 mm) sizable

The ring is accompanied by the American Gemological Laboratories prestige gemstone report No. 1109387 for the demantoid.

The demantoid and diamond cluster is from the 1890s, and the 14K gold shank is a modern replacement.
