These unusual FABERGE cufflinks were made in St. Petersburg between 1899 and 1904. The cufflinks are handcrafted in 14K gold and silver. Each cufflink is centered with a cabochon cut ruby encircled by a band of apple green guilloche enamel and rose cut diamonds. The diamonds are set in silver over gold.
The cufflinks are marked with 56 zolotnik Imperial Russian gold standard, initials ‘ЯЛ’ for St. Petersburg assay master Yakov Liapunov (1899-1904), and maker’s mark ‘A*H’ for Faberge’s workmaster August Hollming (1854-1913). Both cufflinks are scratched with original Faberge’s inventory number ‘77136’.
