A Pair of Antique French Day / Night Dangle Earrings circa 1880
These long earrings are designed in Oriental taste. The central polished gold plaques with hand engraved and champleve enameled decorations are set in ornate finely detailed cast frames.
18K gold, marked in several places with French eagle hallmarks. One of the gold wires is also stamped with the maker’s initials. Length 63 mm (almost 2 1/2 in.)
The smaller “day” part of the earrings is detachable and can be worn separately. French assay eagle mark for 18K gold.
