This rare antique brooch by BOLIN, a jeweler of the Russian Imperial court, was made in St. Petersburg in the 1890s.
The brooch is designed as a finely carved almandine garnet flower set is 14K gold and accented with old mine cut diamonds.
Marked with St. Petersburg assay mark, initials ‘ВФ’ for Bolin’s workmaster Vasiliy Finikov and scratched inventory number 61047.
The brooch comes in its original leather case. The silk lining of the case is stamped with double headed Imperial eagle and Cyrillic inscription:
