Vienna, Austria, circa 1950s
The brooch is finely modelled as a lily of the valley. The flower heads are carved from frosted rock crystal and mounted in 14K white gold. Each green leave is naturalistically carved from a single piece of nephrite jade.
This is one of the nicest carving of jade leaves we have ever seen.
Marked with Austrian horse head assay mark, “A’ for Vienna, maker’s initials ‘F-B’ and 585 gold standard (14K).
Length is 84 mm (3 3/8 in.)
