A vintage platinum and gold ring is designed as a flower head with a cabochon amethyst center and diamond set petals. The cabochon cut amethyst of a dark purple color is set in a yellow gold bezel.

The amethyst measures 8 x 8 x 7.3 mm and is approximately 3.34 ct.

The diamonds are much older than the ring: 8 bigger diamonds – circa 1800s, 8 smaller stones – early 1900s.

Estimated total diamond weight is 0.90 ct.

Weight 9.21 grams.

The ring is marked with dog’s head French assay mark for 950 platinum standard and maker’s mark.

The amethyst and diamond top is 17 mm (5/8 in.) in diameter.
