These Soviet era 14K gold earrings feature an excellent pair of brilliant cut sparkling Russian demantoids from the Urals of a vivid golden-green color.

The demantoids measure 6.3 x 4 mm (1.13 ct) and 6.5 x 4.2 mm (1.26 ct).

The earrings are marked with 583 gold standard, Moscow assay mark, and maker’s marks.

Total length with ear wire is 15 mm (9/16 in.)

Weight: 1.2 grams each.

Both stones have well-defined “horsetail” inclusions which are typical for demantoids from the Russian Ural Mountains.

Matching pairs of Russian demantoids over 1 carat are rare.
