An Antique Signet Gold Ring circa 1840.
A very rare antique Russian armorial seal ring with the crest of the Yaminsky family. The shaped shield of the ring is centered with the Yaminsky coat of arms, surrounded by military trophies – banners, cannons, cannonballs, and swords. The shoulders are embellished with stylized floral decorations cast in high relief. The ring is marked with 72 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (18K) and Moscow assay stamp.

The Yaminsky family was granted a title of nobility in the 17th century. Tsars of Russia gave various lands to the family for service. The first land grant was recorded in 1622. The crest of the family was cataloged in 1797 edition of the book on armorials of nobility of the Russian Empire, volume III, page 71.
