A very fine and rare miniature egg pendant by Peter Carl Faberge, Imperial jeweler to the Tsars.
The egg is covered with delicate sky blue and coral pink guilloche enamels in a spiral pattern. The pink and blue enamels are separated by channels of white opaque enamel.
The egg is marked on the gold suspension ring with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K) and initials ‘ФА’ for Faberge’s workmaster Feodor Afanasiev.
Height without the suspension ring is 19 mm (3/4 in.)
The egg comes in a red leather egg-shaped presentation case.
