This pair of antique 14K gold and silver cluster earrings was made in Moscow in the 1880s – early 1890s.
The earrings are set with sparkling bright white old European cut and old mine cut diamonds (G-H-I color, VS-SI clarity). The center stones are two old European cut diamonds with approximate weight of 0.91 ct and 0.93 ct.
Estimated total diamond weight is 4.28 ct.
All diamonds are set in silver over gold.
The earrings have back to front closures, which are comfortable to wear, but might take some time to get used to putting them on. This type of closure was very popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard and Moscow assay mark (St. George on horseback).
