A Very Rare Double Row Antique Russian Gold Chain Necklace
This massive early Victorian era antique double row long yellow gold chain was handcrafted in St Petersburg in the 1840s. The three dimensional links of the chain are modeled as stylized flowers. Each four petal flower is centered with a gold bead. Antique Russian gold chains of this weight and length are very rare, especially those from the first half of the 19th century. Cube-shaped links increase light reflection and the chain sparkles even in low light.
