A VERY RARE Russian Imperial Presentation Gem-Set Gold Ring
in its original red leather case
The 14K gold ring is centered with a Russian Imperial crown, made in St. Petersburg between 1899 and 1903.
Attributed to jeweler of the Court, Carl Faberge.
The crown is set with two cabochon cut sapphires and ten rose cut diamonds.
Crown is 9/16 in. (14 mm) high.
Ring size 5 1/2 (16 mm) sizable
Scratched inventory number of His Majesty’s Cabinet ‘1470’ on back of the crown.
Marked with 56 zolotnik Russian Imperial gold standard (14K) with initials ‘ ЯЛ ‘ for St Petersburg assay master Yakov Liapunov (1899-1903). Maker’s mark which was next to the 56 mark is lost due to ring resizing.
