painted with a gold cypher of empress Maria Feodorovna (mother of tsar Nicholas II) – interlaced ribbon formed Cyrillic letters ‘ М ‘ and ‘ Ф ‘ beneath Imperial crown.

Made at the Imperial porcelain factory in St Petersburg.

This is a rare dated egg from the final year of the Romanov dynasty 304 year reign.
