Austria, Vienna, circa 1860

An antique 14K gold locket pendant is finely engraved with scrolling foliage accented by cobalt blue enamel designs in Neo-Renaissance style. The interior is fitted with a painted enamel miniature after Raphael’s Madonna della Seggiola  c.1514.

An image or a small object of appropriate size can be kept in the locket on the back side.

The front cover opens by pressing the button on the top.

The pendant is marked on the bail with “A’ assay mark for Vienna.
