An Unusual and Stylish Art Nouveau Locket Pendant by Bolin
Made in Moscow between 1899 and 1908 by W.A. Bolin, a jeweler of the Russian Imperial Court
The front of the locket is decorated with two stylized trees in Art Nouveau taste,
embellished with a pear shaped diamond and a blue sapphire.
The interior is fitted with a glazed miniature picture frame.
The locket is mark with 56 zolotnik gold standard (14K) with assayer’s initials of Ivan Lebedkin (Moscow, 1899-1908)
and workmaster’s initials of Ivan Flink.

The stylized tree decorations of this locket were done in the same style as the gold trees on the amazonite box sold on this web site. The locket and Art Nouveau box were both crafted by Bolin’s workmaster Ivan Flink during the same period, 1899-1908.
