The finely modeled butterfly brooch is handcrafted in silver and 14K gold. The brooch is embellished with bright white old European and old mine cut diamonds, rubies and emeralds.
Estimated total diamond weight is 2.50 carats. The principal diamond is approximately 0.50 ct.
Approximate total ruby weight is 1.10 ct.
The brooch comes in its original gold tooled leather presentation case. The cover of the case is embossed in gold ‘Christina’, the back – ‘In Leibe von: WM d. 10. April 1900.’
The back of the brooch is engraved: 10 April 1900 in liebe von W.M.
Both the brooch and the case are in perfect condition for their age.
The butterfly measures 40 x 30 mm (1 5/8 x 1 1/8 in.)
