This antique Russian 14K gold “lunar surface” egg pendant was made between 1899 and 1908.

The egg is embellished with a cabochon cut ruby of a burgundy red color.

Marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard and maker’s mark.

The ruby measures approximately 6.89 x 5.15 x 2.65 mm. Estimated weight is 1.02 carat.

Length of the egg without suspension ring is 16 mm (5/8 in.)
