This antique Russian 14K rose gold cross pendant with hand-engraved decorations was made in St. Petersburg between 1899 and 1903.
The abbreviation ‘IC’ – ‘XC’ on the horizontal arms of the cross stands for Jesus Christ.
The cross is marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard with initials ‘ЯЛ’ for St. Petersburg assay master Yakov Liapunov (1899-1903) and maker’s initials ‘PB’ for Rudolf Weide, a prominent jeweler of the period.
