The egg is covered with excellent pearl pink guilloche enamel and embellished with old rose cut diamonds and square cut rubies. The gemstones are channel-set in silver.

Marked on the smaller ring with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard and 1908-1917 assay mark. There is no maker’s mark (attributed to Faberge).

Height without suspension ring is 17 mm (11/16 in.)
