A Pair of Spinel and Diamond Cluster Gold Earrings
Made in St Petersburg, Russia, between 1904 and 1908.
These Imperial era cluster earrings are handcrafted in 14K rose gold, they are centered with deep purple spinels within bright white diamond halos.
Combined weight of two spinels is about 2 cts. The twenty Old European cut diamonds have an approximate total weight of 1.4 ct.
Diameter – 12 mm (7/16 in.)
Both earrings are marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard with initials of St Petersburg assay master Alexander Romanov and maker’s initials ‘HB’.
