Russian, circa 1880.
These classic Victorian era earrings are crafted in 14K gold. The earrings feature egg shape cabochon cut Persian turquoise of a vivid blue color framed by bright white and chunky old mine cut diamonds (mostly F-G color, SI1 clarity).
Estimated total diamond weight is 2.40 carats.
The turquoise and diamond clusters measure 13 x 11 mm (4/8 x 7/16 in.)
Marked with maker’s initials ‘ А Ч ‘.
Weight: 2.7 and 2.5 grams.
The earrings come in a brown leather case of the period.
The earrings have back to front closures, which are comfortable to wear, but it might take some time to get used to putting them on. This type of closure was very popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
