This is an example of Faberge’s World War I production: a silver miniature egg pendant covered with silver-white guilloche enamel and decorated with a red enamel cross.
This type of Faberge egg was produced in a relatively large quantity (compared to other eggs) to support the war effort.
The egg is marked with 84 zolotnik old Russian silver standard and initials ‘ФА’ for Faberge’s workmaster Feodor Afanasiev.
