This Belle Époque convertible necklace / brooch of a bow and garland motif is finely crafted in silver topped 14K gold (front – silver, back – gold) and is embellished with old mine cut diamonds.
The principal diamond measures 6.1 x 5.9 x 4.15 mm and is approximately 1.03 ct.
Estimated total diamond weight is 3 carats.
The original gilt tooled white leather case houses a gold pin and a screwdriver. The pin could be attached to the back instead of the chain fitting and the jewel may be worn as a brooch.
The blue silk of the case is stamped in gold with the maker’s name and address: F. HALDER Juwelier I. Reitschulg 4 Wien.
The gold pin and the chain fitting are marked with maker’s initials ‘FH’ and assay mark ‘A’ for Vienna.
The pendant measures 43 x 38 mm (1 5/8 x 3/4 in.)
Length of the chain is 50 cm (19 1/2 in.)
