A Diamond Star Antique Gold Locket
This large 14K gold locket was made in St. Petersburg between 1904 and 1908. The matte yellow gold front cover is decorated with a diamond-set six pointed star encircled by six diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 1 carat.
Height without suspension ring – 45 mm (1 3/4 in.) Width – 35 mm (1 3/8 in.)
The interior of the locket is set with two miniature rose gold picture frames.
Marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K) with initials of St. Petersburg assay master Alexander Romanov (1904-1908) and maker’s initials ‘MT’.
