These rare Faberge cufflinks are designed to resemble a pair of carved nephrite jade buttons mounted in gold.
Siberian nephrite and 14K gold.
Diameter 14 mm (9/16 in.)
Marked with 56 zolotnik Imperial gold standard with initials ‘ЯЛ’ for St. Petersburg assayer Yakov Liapunov (1899-1904) and initials ‘GN’ for Faberge’s workmaster Gabriel Niukkanen.
The cufflinks come in a fitted leather case of the period.
