This antique Faberge two-tone 14K gold pencil holder pendant features superb royal blue guilloche enamel of exceptional quality. The oblong enamel body is accented with a chased band of green gold laurel leaves, while the rose gold cap still retains its original pencil.
Faberge’s mastery of enamelwork earned him the Grand Prix at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900, and this pendant exemplifies the exquisite craftsmanship and refined aesthetic that made his creations among the most celebrated treasures of the Russian Imperial era.
A rare and elegant piece of history, beautifully preserved and highly collectible.
Marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K), Saint Petersburg assay mark, and the workmaster’s initials “AA” for Andre Adler.
The enamel remains in pristine condition.
