An Antique Green Demantoid Garnet Ring
Made in the city of Kazan between 1899 and 1908
A 14K rose gold ribbed ring with a diagonal swirl pattern features a sparkling bright apple green Russian Uralian demantoid garnet
measuring 5 x 5 x 3 mm, estimated weight 0.53 ct.
The center of the stone is very clean that makes the demantoid extremely bright.
The famed “horsetail” inclusions which is a signature of Russian demantoids are located along the edge of the stone.
The ring is marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K) with initials ‘ И А ‘ for Kazan head assay master Ivan Ado (1899-1908)
