A VERY FINE antique Russian silver-gilt and shaded cloisonne enamel cigarette case by Constantine Skvortsov, made in Moscow between 1908 and 1917.
The case is marked with 84 zolotniks Russian Imperial silver standard (.875 silver) – Moscow assay office, and master’s initials ‘KC’.
It is fully enameled with highly stylized foliage and geometrical designs.
Weight 8 oz. (227 g). 3 1/4 x 4 7/16 in. (8,2 x 11,2 cm).
VERY ELABORATE ENAMEL WORK
Excellent condition – all original gilding and fully intact enamel.
The gilded interior is engraved with a presentation inscription dated 1916.
