An Antique French Jeweled and Enameled Locket Pendant

circa 1850

An oval shaped pendant set with a cabochon cut almandine garnet (carbuncle),surrounded by a row of 26 rose cut diamonds, within a vivid green guilloche enamel frame.

The back cover of the pendant is fitted with two glazed miniature picture frames.

Intact original enamel.

Marked on the loop with the French eagle hallmark for 18K gold.

Length without suspension ring – 20 mm (3/4 in.)

The locket comes in a brown leather antique case.
