made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory (St. Petersburg) around 1844 and intended for the Grand Duchess Olga dowry.

Beautiful pink-ground border with gilt-tooled laurel wreath and elaborately molded sea shells.
Russian inscription reads: A View of the Peterhof Palace.
Blue factory mark in the form of Nicholas I cipher. Painter’s initial ‘O’.
