This antique 14K gold cluster ring features an old cushion cut Siberian amethyst of an excellent pinkish bluish purple color. The stone is full of life and very sparkly. It is framed by chunky old mine cut diamonds.
The amethyst measures 9.35 x 8.94 x 6.26 mm and is approximately 3.05 carats.
Combined diamond weight is about 1 carat.
The amethyst and diamond cluster measures 14 x 14 mm (9/16 x 9.16 in.)
The ring is marked with a later Soviet era control mark for 583 gold standard.
Siberian amethysts are no longer mined. They are rare and could be found only in antique jewelry from the Tsarist era or early Soviet era (1920s-1950s).
