The marquise shape 14K gold ring features a very fine and rare Siberian amethyst of a deep purple color with flashes of pink.
The amethyst measures 13.47 x 11.91 x 8 mm and is approximately 6.80 carats. It is flanked by six old mine cut diamonds.
Estimated total diamond weight is 0.84 carat.
The ring is marked with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard and maker’s initials.
Siberian amethysts are no longer mined. They are rare and could be found only in antique jewelry from the Tsarist era or early Soviet era (1920s-1950s).
