A Faberge antique egg shaped gold mounted enameled silver scent flask / perfume bottle, workmaster Andrei Gorianov (Gurjanov), made in St. Petersburg between 1908 and 1917.
Height 2 1/16 in. (5,3 cm).
A very similar egg-shaped scent flask is illustrated in 2000 exhibition catalog FABERGE: Imperial Craftsman and His World, page 216.
Very fine translucent bluish pearl white guilloche enamel.
There are a few tiny rim chips to enamel on the cover otherwise the flask is in excellent condition. All original enamel, no restoration.
Marked inside the cover with 56 zolotniks standard (14K – 583 gold), master’s initials Cyrillic ‘ А Г ‘, and on the body under enamel with 88 silver standard (916).
