A Vintage Russian Amethyst Ring

A 14 karat rose gold ring is set with an oval amethyst in milgrain setting,

surrounded by engraved swirl pattern with two pairs of curved rows of rose cut diamonds and step cut synthetic rubies.

The amethyst is 13.2 x 10.05 x 7.2 mm (approximately 5.06 ct).

The ring was made in Odessa between 1908 and 1917.

Marked with 56 zolotnik standard (14K), maker’s initials and later Soviet control marks from the 1930s.
