Six silver dinner forks with armorial of Prince Vsevolozhsky family, St. Petersburg, 1836, all marked with 84 zolotniks (875 silver) and maker’s name BOIANOWSKI. Length 8 1/8 in. (20,7 cm). Total weight 15,2 oz. (432 g). Condition: moderate overall wear.
The upper half of the shield with the arms of the Grand Principality of Kiev (standing angel with a sword in his right hand), the lower part with the arms of the Principality of Smolensk (a cannon turned left with a bird on top). The shield is placed over an ermine mantle under a princely crown. The family traces its roots back to Grand Dukes of Kiev and Smolensk of the 10th-11th century.
A silver spoon and a fork with the same armorial as above. The spoon is marked with 84 standard and maker’s name SAZIKOV with Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1851. The fork with 84 standard, workmaster’s initials KP, maker’s name GRACHOV, St Petersburg, 1891. Condition: moderate overall wear, the spoon with two shallow dents to its bowl.
