made in Moscow between 1899 and 1908 by a prominent jewelry firm of the period Feodor Lourie
A triangular shaped antique gold locket with rounded corners is chased with a stylized oak branch in Art Nouveau taste, embellished with a carved blue sapphire (suggesting an acorn) and an old European cut diamond (approximately 0.18 ct).
The locket is set with two miniature picture frames and marked on back with 56 zolotnik old Russian gold standard (14K), assayer’s initial of Ivan Lebedkin and workmaster’s initials.
