The front cover of this finely crafted Victorian era 18K gold heart pendant is embellished with diamond-set flowers on a glossy black enamel background. The back cover is hand engraved with a leaf border and a floral garland in the center.
The front is set with old cushion and old table cut diamonds, the back and the bail – with rose cut diamonds.
Estimated total diamond weight is 1 carat.
Interior of the locket is fitted with a heart shaped glazed picture frame.

Marked on bail with Austro-Hungarian chamois head assay mark for the 3rd gold standard (18K) from the 1867-1872 period, and maker’s initials ‘SF’.
